Do they have the right qualifications, accreditation and liability insurance? Is there a clear pricing structure? Do the PAT engineers have good 'people skills' so that they won't upset my staff? What are the guarantees of the PAT company?

A company that cannot provide such information is not worth considering. A reputable PAT provider, on the other hand, will have no problem in providing you with concrete information.
